With classic Los Angeles Jetliner views, located where the Hollywood Hills meet the Pacific Ocean, Lachman Lane is a renovation of a 1960’s California modern home. The renovation optimises the south-facing “L” shaped plan and adds a contemporary feel to the strength of the old home. The central architectural connector is the bar/ fireplace and credenza, crafted in Velvet Grey granite & Nero-Marquino black marble anchoring the centre of the extensively glazed walls, bordering a wonderful alfresco and entertaining colonnade leading to the pool. The old floorboards were sanded back to reveal beautiful blonde oak. Walls received a Timberwolf Grey coat, as did the original joinery. New appliances, fixtures and lighting complete the revived modern coastal home, furnished with mid-century classics and bathed in the bright Southern Californian light, and a warm ocean breeze.
